Been going there for 10+ years. Great place, awesome food, staff and owners are very friendly and helpful. A bit on the pricy side.
Then something happened that I have never had happen to me before in spite of thousands of miles of road biking. I asked the person from whom I purchased the brownie if she would fill my water bottle from the tap behind her. She was embarrassed but explained that her boss wouldn't let her do so.
Fantastic wine selection! The proprietors Larry and Robin are "wicked good" people!
All the expectations of a classy general store with great food AND a solid beer/wine selection for sale.
Nice little sandwich bar. Coffee available. Small outside decking area to sit and enjoy your food if it's a summers day (inside seating too)
I won't purchase anything from them in the future due to their cyclist unfriendly attitude. Kimball Farms is just down the road, anyway.
When I rode up to Fern's on my bike I thought the would be bike friendly as they had two large bike racks out front. Inside lots of overpriced sugary treats perfect for cyclists. I bought a brownie for three dollars that proved to be overly dense and chewy.
